An employee attempted to open the package on April 26, 2018, but alerted the authorities upon the discovery of a note. An unaffiliated individual, identified as Jonathan M. Torres, claimed responsibility for the incident and wrote "HAJI DIE USA -- JH" on the explosives-laden package.
