Incident Summary:

05/12/2018: Assailants abducted Wilson David Ilaquiche Gavilanez from a bar in Tobar Donoso, Carchi, Ecuador. Gavilanez, an Ecuadorean corporal, was killed a short time later but his body was discovered as of March 4, 2019 near a river in Playon, Narino, Colombia. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Oliver Sinisterra Front of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents.
