Incident Summary:

05/17/2018: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle at the Frontier Corps (FC) Madagar Center in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. Following the blast, four additional assailants wearing explosives-laden vests and armed with grenades and firearms attacked the center. At least six people, including one National Highways and Motorways Police officer and all five assailants, were killed and three other soldiers and officers were injured in the blast and ensuing clash. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility and stated that the incident was carried out in retaliation for the killing of a TTP leader. Hizb-ul-Ahrar (HuA) separately claimed responsibility for the attack. Sources also attributed the incident to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
