05/31/2018: A landmine detonated and assailants opened fire against a military vehicle along Pridang-Bitta Road, Gwoza, Borno, Nigeria. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, at least five soldiers were killed in the blast and ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
