Incident Summary:
06/27/2018: Assailants opened fire on two boats carrying police officers and civilians near Torere, Puncak Jaya, Papua, Indonesia. Obaja Froaro, a district chief, was killed and an unknown number of others were injured and reported as missing following the attack. One of the missing officers was found dead on July 1, 2018. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to separatists.

Criteria
Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
