07/08/2018 Assailants attacked civilians on Inadjam-Toumkutate road in Gao, Mali. Three civilians were abducted in the attack. The outcome of the abduction is unknown. This was one of two similar attacks carried out on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS).
