Incident Summary:

07/19/2018: Assailants attacked a military position in Garoua, Diffa, Niger. At least ten assailants and one soldier were killed and two soldiers and an unknown number of assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
