Incident Summary:

07/25/2018: Assailants armed with explosive devices and firearms attacked Al-Shibki village in As Suwayda, Syria. At least 36 women and children were abducted from the village. As of November 8, 2018 seven hostages were killed and the remaining 29 victims were released. This was one of 11 coordinated incidents in and around Suwayda on the same day. At least 302 people, including 56 assailants, militia members, and civilians, were killed, and 180 other people were injured across all 11 attacks. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incidents.
