08/04/2018: An explosive device planted in the vehicle of Aziz Asber detonated in Masyaf, Hamah, Syria. Asber, the Syrian Scientific Research Centre facility director in charge of the regime chemical weapons program, and his driver were killed in the blast. The Abu Amarah Battalion claimed responsibility for the attack.
