08/16/2018: Assailants abducted Zaire Khan Pasil, the 10-year-old son of the head of the Jolo Department of Interior and Local Government, in San Raymundo, Jolo, Sulu, Philippines. The hostage was released on November 13, 2018. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
