08/23/2018: Assailants attacked United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSCA) personnel near Pavika, Basse-Kotto, Central African Republic. There were no reported casualties in the attack. This was one of two related attacks in this area on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to an Anti-Balaka militia.
