Incident Summary:

08/30/2018: Assailants abducted Gowher Ahmad Malik from his residence in Katapora, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Malik, the brother of officer Aijaz Ahmad Malik, was released unharmed on August 31, 2018. Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the abduction was carried out in order to exchange the victim for the release of assailant family members.
