09/07/2018: Assailants abducted 35 villagers who had refused to attend a meeting held by the assailants in Phulpad, Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh, India. All 35 hostages were tied to trees, physically assaulted, and released a short time later. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Maoists.
