09/10/2018: Assailants, including suicide bombers, opened fire on Iraqi police officers in Shirqat, Saladin, Iraq. At least nine people, including one officer and eight assailants were killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
