Incident Summary:

09/21/2018: Assailants opened fire on a Security Belt checkpoint in Lawdar district, Abyan, Yemen. At least two soldiers were killed and two soldiers were abducted in the assault. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
