10/31/2018: Assailants abducted Moddi Gawde, a farmer and police volunteer, from Naranur, Maharashtra, India. Gawde was shot and killed later the same day. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the victim was targeted for being a police informant.
