11/09/2018: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated outside the Sahafi hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia. This was one of two coordinated attacks on the hotel on the same day. At least 65 people were killed and 106 people were injured across both attacks. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.
