Incident Summary:

11/20/2018: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vest at a wedding hall where religious scholars and clerics had gathered to celebrate the birth of the prophet Muhammad in Kabul, Afghanistan. In addition to the assailant, 55 people were killed and 94 people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that either the Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State or the Taliban were responsible for the attack. The Taliban denied responsibility.
