11/23/2018: Assailants attacked military personnel in Mitile, Borno, Nigeria. Six soldiers were killed and at least one other was abducted in the incident. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
