Incident Summary:

12/01/2018: Assailants attacked an unknown number of checkposts in Qurghan district, Faryab, Afghanistan. This was one of two related attacks on checkposts in Faryab on this date. At least 11 assailants and seven security forces were killed, while 24 assailants and 11 security forces were injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
