12/14/2018: Assailants opened fire on a food distribution exercise led by the military in Gudunbali, Borno, Nigeria. At least one soldier and 28 assailants were killed, one person was injured, and an unknown number were reported missing following the assault. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
