Incident Summary:
12/23/2018: Assailants armed with rockets and firearms attacked the vehicle of Shah Tawoos in Char Tut, Kunduz, Afghanistan. Tawoos, an Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) Lieutenant Commander was killed along with two other ANCOP officers. Two officers were also injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
