Incident Summary:
12/24/2018: Assailants attacked Choutpah, Bangourain, West, Cameroon. This was one of two coordinated attacks on the same night. At least one person was killed, 15 people were abducted, and at least 60 houses were burned across both attacks. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. Separatists claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in order to force the Cameroonian government to release all English-speaking separatist leaders from jail.
