Incident Summary:

12/26/2018: Assailant attacked the 7 Brigade Multinational Joint Task Force headquarters in Baga, Borno, Nigeria. At least four soldiers and two civilians were killed and 12 soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. In addition, three soldiers were abducted in the incident. A video showing the execution of the three hostages was released on April 1, 2019, however the date of the execution is unknown. The Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
