Incident Summary:

01/04/2019: Assailants attacked a police outpost in Nga Myin Taw, Rakhine, Myanmar. This was one of four related incidents targeting police posts in the area on this date. At least 10 police officers were killed and two officers were injured in the assault. Additionally, 14 people were abducted across the attacks; the hostages were released shortly after the kidnapping. The Arakan Army (AA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the group carried out the attack because the police had threatened villages in the area.
