Incident Summary:

01/12/2019: Assailants opened fire on an anti-narcotics patrol in Puerto Mestanza, Sucumbios, Ecuador. One police officer and one assailant were killed while two officers and an assailant were injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents.
