Incident Summary:

01/16/2019: Assailants opened fire on a police vehicle near a bridge in Watkyein, Rakhine, Myanmar. At least six soldiers were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA). Sources also attributed the attack to the Arakan Army (AA), which denied involvement.
