03/09/2019: Assailants opened fire on a police outpost in Ponnagyun, Rakhine, Myanmar. At least nine police officers were killed and two officers were injured in the attack. The assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties. The Arakan Army (AA) claimed responsibility for the incident, though a spokesperson for the group later denied that the group's central command ordered the attack.
