Incident Summary:

04/17/2019: Assailants attempted to abduct a nurse from Mandera County Hospital in Mandera, Kenya. There were no casualties in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab, who were thought to be attempting to abduct the nurse to serve as a translator for two Cuban doctors kidnapped on April 12, 2019.
