Incident Summary:

04/23/2019: Assailants opened fire on a police officer providing security for a polio vaccination team in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The officer was killed in the attack. Hizb-ul-Ahrar (HuA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out because the victim was guarding a polio team who provided "the poisonous polio vaccine under a calculated conspiracy."
