05/07/2019: Assailants abducted Jomar Alonzo, the brother and campaign head of a mayoral candidate, in Baggao, Cagayan, Philippines. Alonzo was killed and his body was discovered the following day on May 8, 2019. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident.
