Incident Summary:

06/18/2019: Assailants opened fire on Banyamulenge civilians and set fire to residences in High Plateau, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 36 people were killed and other people were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Mayi Mayi and the Resistance to the Rule of Law in Burundi (Red-Tabara).
