Incident Summary:

07/21/2019: Assailants opened fire on a security checkpoint in Kotla Syedan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. At least two police officers were killed in the assault. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Dera Ismail Khan district on the same day. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attacks were carried out in retaliation for the death of a group member in Dera Ismail Khan on June 23, 2019.
