08/02/2019: Assailants attacked a military camp in Mahfad district, Abyan, Yemen. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, at least 19 soldiers were killed and several other soldiers were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
