08/21/2019: Assailants abducted a civilian (Pat Ngwu) from her farm in Emene, Enugu, Nigeria. The hostage was sexually assaulted and killed shortly after the kidnapping. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
