Incident Summary:

08/27/2019: Assailants attacked Syrian Armed Forces (SAF) positions in Khan Shaykhun, Idlib, Syria. At least 23 soldiers and 20 assailants were killed and an unknown number of other soldiers and assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham and the National Liberation Front (NLF-Syria) separately claimed responsibility for the incident. Sources also attributed the attack to Hurras al-Din.
