Incident Summary:

09/05/2019: Assailants abducted Gideon Okedayo and his driver at Akoko-Edo in Edo, Nigeria. The driver was injured and released a short time later while Okedayo, a Ondo State University of Science and Technology professor, was killed and his body was discovered on September 9, 2019. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani extremists.
