09/12/2019: Assailants attacked an army detachment in Baraboule, Sahel, Burkina Faso. This was one of two related attacks targeting detachments in Sahel on this date. At least two soldiers were killed and five soldiers were injured across both attacks. Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the incident.
