09/22/2019: Assailants identified and killed a suicide bomber in Ghazaliya West, Baghdad, Iraq. There were no other reported casualties in the attempted attack. This was one of four related attacks in this area overnight. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attempted attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
