12/13/2019: Assailants detonated an explosive device and opened fire on a police vehicle in Libotan, Borongan, Eastern Samar, Philippines. Four people were killed and at least 14 people, including police officers and civilians, were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People’s Army (NPA) and the National Democratic Front-Bicol (NDF-Bicol).
