12/17/2019: Assailants abducted Nabeel Soufan from his home in Hajjah, Yemen. The fate of Soufan, the Education Office deputy director general, is unknown. This was one of two similar kidnappings in the area on the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
