Incident Summary:

05/19/2020: Assailants equipped with rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles opened fire on a Philippine Army detachment in Salbu, Datu Saudi-Ampatuan, Maguindanao, Philippines. There were no reported casualties in the ensuing clash. This was one of two related attacks targeting posts in Datu Saudi-Ampatuan town on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM).
