Incident Summary:

06/14/2020: Assailants detonated an explosive and ambushed a Malian army convoy near the Mauritanian border in Diabaly, Segou, Mali. At least 24 soldiers were killed in the attack. More than 40 soldiers were reported as missing and their whereabouts are unknown. Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the incident.
