09/20/2020: Assailants ambushed a military patrol in Sabon Gari-Wajiroko, near Damboa, Borno, Nigeria. Colonel Dahiru U (D. C.) Bako, 25 Task Force Brigade commander, and three other soldiers were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to Boko Haram.
