10/19/2020: Assailants attacked a Chadian military patrol between Kaiga and Ngouboua, Mamdi district, Lac, Chad. At least four soldiers were killed and an unknown number of others were wounded in the attack. The Al-Barnawi faction (Islamic State West Africa Province-ISWAP) of Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the incident.
