10/21/2020: Assailants abducted two town mayors, identified as U Thar Zan and U Thein Maung, while they were delivering aid in Ngalapyar, Rakhine, Myanmar. U Thar Zan was released on October 29, 2020, and the fate of U Thein Maung is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Arakan Army (AA).
