Incident Summary:

12/06/2020: Assailants established an illegal checkpoint and abducted Jesus Quintana Garcia in Toribio district, Cauca, Colombia. Garcia, a Spanish national and director of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), was released on December 7, 2020. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Dagoberto Ramos Mobile Column of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) dissidents.
