12/12/2020: Assailants abducted Nelson Sheteh in Babanki, North-West, Cameroon. Sheteh, a traditional chief, was released on December 16, 2020 after a ransom payment. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Separatists, noting that the attack was carried out in retaliation for Sheteh's participation in regional elections, held on December 6, 2020.
