William J. Kammerer is a senior faculty specialist and the Locations/GEOINT supervisor at the Global Terrorism Database (GTD), where he oversees the collection, verification and analysis of the GTD’s geospatial components. Previous research at START has focused on unconventional weapons risk analysis, detection, trafficking. William has an M.A. in political science from James Madison University, where he focused on European Union policy, regional security and the Schengen Information System. He has a B.A. in geography from The Ohio State University. William is additionally professionally proficient in the German and Italian languages.
