Course Proposal for START

Course Proposal for START

START frequently has the opportunity to offer elective courses as a part of the University of Maryland’s Undergraduate, Global Terrorism Minor and Graduate Certificate in Terrorism Analysis.

If you are interested in proposing a course for START, please fill out the webform below.

Please include any comments on planned teaching methods, including both delivery method (fully online, in-person, or a hybrid course) and specific plans for encouraging interactive class sessions (e.g. in-class simulations or debates, practical learning experiences, etc.). Please note: START requires that all courses focus heavily on class discussion and on creating a seminar-like environment. START will not fund development or delivery of a purely lecture-based course.
Please include a sampling of course materials to be used in and/or outside of class, including scholarly books and articles, films, novels, audio recordings, datasets, etc. This list need not be exhaustive. Please note: START actively encourages the use of varied types of course material.
If you prefer to upload sample course materials, please merge all the documents into one .pdf and upload it here.
